To use it, select some fonts or a font set from your library and choose Slideshow up top. A window will open with large text on it. You can change the text to be rendered in the Slideshow Controller panel, where you can also set the size, colors, control the timing, etc. Get rid of the background by checking the box labeled Transparent Mode.
That’s what I’m doing in the above example in order to test some type options on top of a stock photo a friend sent me. A great way to use this feature is right after setting up an “Ad hoc” font set. Just page through your fonts and hit Command + Plus when you find a good candidate for a given job. Then select the new set and start the show.
