Sweep picking is hard-- no doubt about it. It's a combination of
both smooth, fluid legato, and tight staccato between notes; you
have to be good at two opposing things.
For a lot of guitarists, particularly those interested in heavier
and more progressive genres, sweep picking can be a rite of
passage. If you're one of those people that REALLY wants to learn
this advanced technique, but are struggling to get it down, I'd
like to offer some help. A lot of stress and concentration goes
into getting the fluid motion in the right hand JUST right, but
maybe all that effort is hurting you instead of helping-- there
might be an easier way... Check out today's video to see how you
might improve!
