One of the key sounds to Fusion guitar playing is the ability to
go "outside" of typical playing positions.
What exactly does that mean? Well, maybe you've heard the old
joke that there's no such thing as a wrong note... it just
becomes Jazz.
It's kind of that idea.
By moving outside of the key of the song under specific
circumstances, you can make your playing stand out to the
listener (and feel more fun for you!). I'm going to go over 5
easy scale positions, and some tips that you can use to achieve
this sound in your own playing!
