Abstract
This research paper discusses the effects that authoritarian parenting style creates on adolescents’ self-esteem in Saudi Arabia The study explores the relationship between authoritarian parenting in Saudi Arabia and the effects it creates on members of the adolescent age between the ages of 13 to 18 years The study is going to look into twenty cases of female respondents The participants were required to complete the self-esteem scale that appraised five key dimensions to the study The five dimensions included emotional, social, academic, family, and physical The finishing of development tasks, like identity formation, is important for Saudi Arabians There are numerous features that may influence an adolescent in Saudi Arabia such as culture and politics
Youth, as well as children from the Saudi Arabia, is influenced by parenting styles For children, parenting styles that are authoritarian and typical in the Arab world lead to different development in children compared to the Western world
