Hello from the Postman Team! We wanted to share a few quick product updates that we think you’ll find valuable.
After talking with members of our community of over 25 million users, we’ve decided to simplify the view in Postman to be more lightweight, agile, and elegant. The default display in workspaces will soon show just the three functions that developers use most: collections, environments, and requests. This will allow developers to focus on our core functionality while still having access to advanced features.
We’ve seen the rise of VS Code as the most popular online editor for web developers. To bring these developers closer to their API workflows, we’ll be releasing a VS Code extension later this year. Starting March 15, 2023, we’re making the Partner Viewer license free. Enterprise plan customers can invite outside partners to view elements (code, documentation, tests, mocks, etc.) in Partner Workspaces <https://go.postman.com/MDY3LVVNRC05OTEAAAGJ6li8VMVXh8au4G8h_4U0ZQ52R-Kpo_fzLnzI8jNLATspSo41WKlVtv892Y3QIsY83gOeqtY=>. If you’d like to take advantage of this before March 15, please contact us <https://go.postman.com/MDY3LVVNRC05OTEAAAGJ6li8VP_-SI9nz_6MNAomwv4YfNDMMp2tLL8eT-8guk-3oa-O5O2H67sIof9nW3agHcCJ04g=>.
We’ll begin shipping an updated version of Postman every month to customers on Free, Basic, and Professional plans <https://go.postman.com/MDY3LVVNRC05OTEAAAGJ6li8VPW4DSeuTXlBbLeOet16i6DwnbzpiaJ8plvwwaQfJoTUXD2gdqqTbyquegikTO15hCk=>. This cadence should allow users to explore Postman’s new capabilities at a more measured pace.
Starting March 15, 2023, we’re changing the number of allotted runs in Postman’s local Collection Runner. Free and Basic plans will be limited to 25 runs per month, and Professional plans will be limited to 250 runs per month. Enterprise plans will still have unlimited local collection runs.

If you’d like to read more about any of these changes, see Postman CEO Abhinav Asthana’s blog post <https://go.postman.com/MDY3LVVNRC05OTEAAAGJ6li8VIMovgnQ7GFoHM-La7uI29ejn7acAh9-j_vDjuKeGqvZi3H60xsPdEx0WLO8sAEXOSw=>.

They include native Git and gRPC support; Postman API Governance and Security; and automated testing with the Postman CLI.

Thanks for being a Postman user and making us the world’s leading API platform.

Cheers,

The Postman Team
