Important Update: Changes to Steam Client on Windows 7 and Windows 8 in 2024

As announced here, the Steam client will stop running on Windows 7 and Windows 8 in 2024. Any new Steam installs should continue to work in 2024, as CrossOver now defaults to installing Steam into a Windows 10 bottle. If you have an older Windows 7 or Windows 8 Steam bottle that you want to keep using in 2024, we have a 30 second fix outlined for you here.

1.&nbsp;Select your Steam install from your bottles list, and click Wine Configuration in the Control Panels in the right sidebar.

2.&nbsp;At the bottom of Wine Configuration, change the Windows version to Windows 10.

3.&nbsp;Click Apply, then OK to close and save.
